Beverly Anderson ~ Beverly’s enthusiasm for stamping and new products oozes from her soul.  She has been stamping for eight years and teaching techniques is her specialty.  She works closely with her favorite partners, the wonderful staff from Magenta, and makes sure that all the newest and most challenging products end up in her stamp room for development of new techniques.  A passionate stamper, she has taken and taught classes all over the country, and has had the opportunity to indulge her other stamping passion: demonstrating at shows.  

 

            Magenta (Beverly Style) by: Beverly Anderson (Sunday 8:30 am)

Elegant and yet easy will be the theme for the weekend.  If you adore the incredible Magenta images, or want to learn what all the fuss is about, this class is for you.  Come join the fun with untraditional class that will give you a different approach to creating with Magenta Style.  We will use all the newest products, while creating six to eight cards.

Batik Easy Scarves by: Beverly Anderson (Sunday 11:00 am)

You will be amazed at the beautiful, wearable artwork you create from stamping supplies.  In this class, you will design and make a multi-functional silk panel to use as a great accent for just about anything.  We will be working with Dyna – Flow, Lumiere Paints and even a beaded trim.  Two sizes are available 9” x 45” and 9” x 54”, please specify which you prefer. 

 Stacey Caron  ~ President of Spellbinders Paper Arts and Co- Creator of the Wizard Embossing System.  Stacey has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe teaching and sharing her passion for paper arts at national and international trade shows and conventions.  She has appeared on national television and has been featured in numerous publications with the Wizard.  Married to Jeff for twelve years and has two darling little boys Nathan and Justin.  When she is not running the globe expanding her passion for paper arts, she enjoys four wheeling, mountain biking, and gardening

Whimsical Star Book  by: Stacey Caron (Saturday 8:30 am)

In this creative and whimsical class, you will create a star book while learning many techniques that include cutting, embossing, texturzing, flattening and inking ALL with the versatile Wizard Embossing and Cutting System.  The brand new ATC die will be utilized in this class.  This is a wonderful class to “get familiar” with the versatility of the Wizard.

 

Card Bonanza by: Stacey Caron (Saturday 2:45 pm)

What….? Six unique cards in two hours!  Come join the fun while learning how to use the Wizard Embossing and Cutting System.  Many interesting and unique techniques will be explored in this class such as flower pressing, distressing, using clay and the newly discovered reflections technique.

Ted & Michelle Cutts ~  Art Gone Wild!and Friends   Michelle has always been an art stamp lover and scrapbooker...even before Ted came along. This is a combination made in stampin' heaven. Ted runs the show at AGW & Friends and wears many hats at the shop, one of which is to demonstrate for the Stampers Anonymous line.  He learns as much as he can from Tim Holtz and then passes it on at the many trade shows while he is demonstrating.  Michelle is usually busy with the Art Gone Wild line of stamps and also in the creating of the images with the various artists they have.  Meeting and greeting their customers is a main part of their enjoyment of the business.

            Creativity….Taking What’s New to Old Again ~ Ted Cutts (Saturday 8:30 am)

Using distress inks and Tim Holtz line of rubber stamps from Stampers Anonymous, use your creativity to make what’s new old again.  Use his new Christmas line and other new images to create tags and artwork to take back to your store.  They will surely cause a creative buzz in your customers on the wonderful ways to use all the new products being released.  These ideas and samples will be sure to give more ideas on future classes for your store.

 

Stampers Anonymous StazOn Ink Technique by: Ted Cutts (Saturday 2:45 pm)

Using Stampers Anonymous stamps, create cards and a beautiful box necklace that will be sure to inspire the artistic side of you.  Design cards that will stand out with bold colors and use StazOn Ink that you may not have tried.  The necklace box will give you a great place for small tags, pictures, ATCs and the like.  This class will be sure to inspire imaginative ideas and give you great samples to display in your stores that will move product.

 


Waterfalls Card by: Michelle Cutts (Saturday 11:00 am)

Fun just tumbles out of this card as it opens in a waterfall effect- with one tug on a string.

Learn how to make a fun, interactive card with Art Gone Wild's progression cube stamps and coordinating saying cube stamps.  These cube stamps are progression images that create animation by transforming themselves over three panels on the waterfall card with the sayings appearing on the backside of the images and they tumble open when you pull the string on the card.  You could make a cake, carve a pumpkin, trim a Christmas tree, bake a gingerbread man and more with our many designs.  For this class you will make two cards using the gingerbread and pumpkin designs.  We will have samples of all our other designs so you can see the many possibilities for any season or occasion.

"Rocks" Out of Sight Shaker Card by: Michelle Cutts (Saturday 5:15 pm)

In this class you will create a shaker card that will knock your socks off!  This card is almost a mini-book.  The shaker is a see-though—moving page—set between the front and back covers of the card.   Using beads, buttons and colored images from the frame rocker—you will create an enclosed window scene that is view-able from the front or the back of that page.  Then you will decorate the front of the card also using colored in images from the same frame rocker stamp adding ribbons and button embellishments.  Finish with a mini-binding to tie the whole card together and you will have a card you won’t be able to part with.  It’s a real gem!  You will be using Art Gone Wild's one-of-a-kind rocker stamps (see how easy it is to stamp a large image and get a great impression!)    

 

Tamila Darling ~ Tamila is a master Sculpey polymer clay artist working in the medium for more than 12 years.  Her work has been featured in Polyform Products packaging and promotional literature, polymer clay books and magazines.  She has authored dozens of projects for several magazines including Stamp & Scrap Art, Create N’ Decorate, Polymer Café along with numerous others.  A designer of her own polymer clay tools, Tamila shows her enthusiasm for the medium through her classes, and the increasing popularity of the medium is due to her exceptional artistry.  Her students often become polymer clay addicts once they find out that they can produce the same stunning results in their own project!

 

The 3 P’s – 2006 – Polymer, Pens & Paper by: Tamila Darling (Friday 2:45 pm)

Learn some super-fast and simple techniques to make your own stamped embellished ink pens and mini paper notebook.  These are quick and easy to make, great for gifts when stamped with a special occasion or themed stamps too!  With a customized holder for the pen, it will stay secure with the notebook and you or the recipient of the set won’t be looking for a pen when it’s needed.  You will make two different styles, one modern with glamour, and one more vintage and old world in style.

 

Clever Clay Quickies by: Tamila Darling (Friday 5:15 pm)

These projects are clever and quick.  Craving some cute Make N’ Take ideas?  This class is filled with them!  The projects are so simple we are going to do as many as we can in the time allotted.  What we don’t get to, you receive the instruction sheet & supply list and can view the completed projects up close and personal!  Great for beginners and fun for more advanced students; even a blast for school aged children.  Valentines, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, winter, spring and a few other fun things are all covered in this short time.

 

Impressed by StamPress! by: Tamila Darling (Saturday 2:45 pm)

Impress yourself with stamping that goes from flat to All That!  Flat sheets of clay and the impression left behind after running through the StamPress machine will impress you too!  How do you use these perfectly uniform impressions ready for surface treatments?  Come to this class and find out!  It is so easy to make a wide variety of items.  We will get you started with a decorative box and votive as your class samples, from there you will see the endless possibilities that the stamped veneers in clay create!

 

Potpourri of Polymer Clay Embellishments & Beads by: Tamila Darling (Saturday 5:15 pm)

Jam-packed with information on Polymer Clay from Polyform Products, this class includes the newest addition to the line - Sculpey Ultra Light!  A mountain of techniques will be learned in this class using foils, powders, inks, chalks, acrylic paint, push molds, decorative edge scissors, and punches.  You will even learn the ever-popular Ghost Image Stamping technique, which only requires some metallic Premo! clay, a blade and a stamp – no ink stamping that you have to see to believe!  All of these will be used in combination to create embellishment pieces and beads that can be used to cover a composition journal, or you can save for assembly onto another object when you return to your store.

 

Cyndi Duncan ~ Cyndi is the founder and Editor-In-Chief of Altered Arts Magazine, and also owns and operates The Altered Book Club, a crafts by mail club recently featured on HGTV’s The Carol Duvall Show.  She is a self-taught, mixed-media artist who has been an avid scrapbooker for nine years.  Originally a high school Spanish teacher, Cyndi has a passion for teaching, and it shows in the scrapbooking and altered book classes she teaches around the country.  Students in Cyndi’s classes have continually rated her classes with high marks.

 

Altered Wall Hanging  by: Cyndi Duncan  (Friday 8:30 am)

What to do with those mixed media collage pieces?  Hang them on the wall!  We will take a blank board book and create a mixed-media collage wall hanging that is sure to make a great gift or conversation piece. Are your customers predominantly scrapbookers?  Then you’ll want to bring a couple of 4 x 6 black and white copies of photos (black and white copies from a color copier or laser printer) to include in your wall hanging.  You will leave with one or more completed projects and extra pages to use at a later time.

 

            Artistic ATC holder by: Cyndi Duncan (Friday 11:00 am)

In this class you will decoupage, stamp and embellish your way to an artistic tin to hold those popular ATC cards! You will leave class with a finished tin, and perhaps even a few ATCs to store inside it.

 

Coin Holder Books by: Cyndi Duncan  (Sunday 11:00 am)

We will take a coin holder, disassemble it, and turn it into a wonderful artistic book.  Your customers will be quite intrigued by this fun project. Are your customers predominantly scrapbookers?  Bring a few black and white copies of photos – the main image should be the size of a quarter, and black and white copies from a color copier or laser printer work best.  You will leave with one completed project.

 

Bonnie Egenton ~ Bonnie is the Marketing Director for Ranger Industries and has been stamping and paper crafting for over 10 years.  She has been teaching classes at stamping and scrapbooking stores in and around New Jersey for several years.  Bonnie also brings experience in marketing and education from the corporate world she has happily left behind.  She is now enjoying sharing her enthusiasm for crafting and Ranger Products with others each and every day.

Amy Flowers ~ Ms. Flowers began freelance teaching of alternative art mediums in 1995, offering classes in local rubber stamp stores.  A studio space was acquired in September 1996 and she began offering instruction through the studio.  She now teaches throughout Ohio and the Midwest.  On faculty at the Chautauqua Institute in Chautauqua, New York, she has been an instructor through the Special Studies program since 2000.  Ms. Flowers has worked since 1998 for the Wexner Center for the Arts, keeping a hand in the contemporary art scene as well.  She also organizes and hosts the New Mexico Art Adventure Workshop, a week-long alternative art seminar.  Current stamp store clients include Paper Moon of Nashville, TN, Scrapbook Sisters of St. Clair, MI, For The Art of Kalamazoo, MI, Wishful Thinking, of Nashville, IN, Stamp Your Art Out of Cincinnati, OH (including teaching at their annual convention, StampAway), and Guadalupe’s Fun Rubber Stamps of Santa Fe, NM.  Hallmarks of her classes include an informal and open style and use of rubber stamps as a fine art tool, enabling even the beginning artist to create and build artistic confidence.

We’re back to the Bendi with this class!  Using all those fabulous Lumiere colors, paint and stamp your Bendi doll ‘til she glows…then turn her into a poetic muse with all the newest alphabet embellishments!  We’ll also play with tons of fibers, charms and add-ons—no sewing needed.  Your Bendi doll will be the perfect muse to add to your art space or to inspire a friend!

 Learn everything this new stamp pad from Jacquard can do!  Made to mimic the effects of bleach on paper, this pad creates wonderful batik backgrounds and exotic stamp imagery.  Explore all the ways to make this pad work for you, then put it all together to create a series of collage cards.  Too cool for words!

 

Out of the Box by: Amy Flowers (Sunday 8:30 am)

Take a basic paper mache box and turn it into a work of art!  Using stamp pads, collage papers, Lumiere and more, we’ll cover the box inside and out with a variety of color techniques.  Give your box an artistic finish with beads, wire, charms, eyelets and anything else we can get our hands on…these boxes are great for gifts or artsy décor!

 

Dee Gruenig ~ Since 1979, Dee’s passion has remained the same – to take rubber stamping, memory albums and other crafts to a higher artistic level, always attempting something new while stretching her own abilities.  She hopes she has provided some fresh innovation in design and function for crafts, with some entertaining and helpful instruction in books, videos, and television.  Her contagious zeal is legendary!  Known as ‘head cheerleader of rubber stamping’ and ‘Renoir of Rubber’, her quest is to take the art of stamping to a more innovative and exciting level.

Dee has never been a “Pastel” person until she discovered this technique! It’s so much faster & more spectacular than the rainbow embossing of the past.  You will stamp & emboss with both her Clear & Unmounted Stamp Sets and learn some embellishment techniques with the “Freshly Picked Pastels” pen collection from Sailor.  You will get to try out these fun new looks on a Tab-Latch card and a bookmark.

Susan Holton ~ Needing a relaxing outlet from her profession as a police officer, Susan began rubber stamping in 1987.  Wanting to share the magic, she began teaching her fellow police officers, then students enrolled in the D. A. R. E. program and finally, stampers, and scrappers and paper artists.  Her passion for stamping opened doors for her to become a demo artist and instructor in the paper arts industry.  Susan has been published in trade magazines and after a few years working as a manufacturer’s representative doing demos, classes, and make & takes, Susan recently accepted a position in the Sales and Creativity Department of Tsukineko.

 

            Ink Primer in a Box by: Susan Holton (Friday 2:45 pm)

Create your own “ink primer” in a little box!  Use 8 different types of Tsukineko inks to see the differences and similarities.  You’ll be using Walnut Ink, StazOn, VersaMagic, VersaColor, VersaFine, Opalite, VersaMark and Brillance.  Students should bring scissors, paper trimmer and adhesive.

 

            Autumn Abounds by: Susan Holton (Saturday 5:15 pm)

This class will be all about the splendor and colors of autumn!  Get ready to dive into our newest colors as we create a scrapbook page, a coordinating card and tag… so rich it will make you want to jump into a pile of leaves!

Bev Kish ~ Bev has been stamping since the only magazine was Rubberstampmadness, and her passion for stamping shows no sign of abating!  She specializes in training and teaching in her professional life, and loves to spread the work about stamping through demos and classes.  As a part of the Gary Burlin team, she educates customers on new techniques and products as they hit Gary’s shelves.  Part demonstrator, part innovator, Bev loves to break the rules and try new ways to use products, and knows that product knowledge is the key to sales, so she shares what she knows to help store owners succeed.

Learn all about the newest products in the catalog and make four cards to showcase the latest, greatest stuff!  We’ll learn how to use the products, answer your questions, and make four eye-catching cards that you can teach to your customers while educating them on product use to stimulate repeat sales.  To know is to sell, so be sure to have the late-breaking stories on all the new items hitting the shelves.

           

Magical Metallical by: Bev Kish (Saturday 8:30 am)

Explore four exciting techniques that work well for in-store demos as well as make and take classes.  Using Opalite inks, Pentel Metallic Brush Markers, Pearl-Ex Pads, and Brilliance inks, you’ll make four stunning cards to wow your customers.  This class focuses on teaching you product knowledge and how to boost sales through quick and easy in-store demos that result in enthusiastic customers and increased sales.

 

Punch Possibilities by: Bev Kish (Saturday 11:00 am)

Make those punches a “must-have” item for your customers when you get their creative juices flowing!  We’ll make four beautiful cards with great eye-appeal using a variety of punches that will open your eyes to punch possibilities.  Creative and clever punch designs will excite your customers and give you four make and take classes to present to them.  This class is perfect for a stamping novice and storeowners serving a large segment of beginner/intermediate skill levels.

 

Ink Explorations by: Bev Kish (Saturday 5:15 pm)

Join us for a fun adventure into new uses for old stand-bys.  We’ll make four cards using Ancient Page, Kaleidacolor, Fresco, and Versamark with direct-to-paper techniques that will get the buzz going for these tried-and-true products.  We’ll discuss how to merchandize these products and send you home with four great cards to display so you can make sure all your customers see the inks in a brand new light!

 

Linda Mason ~ The owner of Cottage Stampers in Hartville, Ohio for 3 ½ years, Linda has been stamping for sixteen years and scrapbooking for ten.  Her fingers are still inky and she enjoys every part of stamping!  Her heart is deep into teaching as she finds it a great joy to share with others, especially the scrapbook cookbook groups who love the projects she creates for them.

 

Deboss Anyone by: Linda Mason (Friday 8:30 am)

This is a great class for beginners and advanced alike.  If you love vellum like I do and are looking for new ways to use it, this is the class for you.  Debossing turns your vellum a frost white, a fantastic look for any card, and you can always add a little color, plenty of trims, and layers, layers, layers!  Five or more show-stopper cards will be made.  Students must bring a Dove Blender.

 

Cookbook Scrapbook Frenzy by: Linda Mason (Saturday 8:30 a.m.)

If you love cooking and scrapbooking, you are going to love this class! No experience necessary, you’ll get on the job training.  We will be making 8 x 8 scrapbook pages with a different theme for each recipe that make great gifts for wedding showers and or the holidays.  You add recipes in a unique style and make several theme pages minus the recipe, which you can add at home.  You will complete our themed double-page holiday cookies.  Please bring one recipe no larger than 3 x 4 1/2”, scissors, and glue of your choice.  Be prepared to have fun.  This one might be so nice you won’t want to give it away, and your customers will love it!

 

Let’s Bleach by: Linda Mason (Saturday 11:00 am)

This quick-moving class will use unusual folds and envelopes along with bleach to make fantastic cards.  We’ll add a little Adirondack ink and some trims and you will have works of art.  We will do as many cards as time permits, so put on your running shoes and be ready to move!  Please bring Tombow Adhesive and glue sticks.

 

Pat Niemuth ~ Along with her husband Paul own and operate Northwood’s Rubber Stamps, an original art line featuring wildlife and nature scenes inspired by her Wisconsin upbringing.  Pat had a career as a physical therapist, but left her professional life in 1994 to start her business.  Pat was a stamper back in the beginning, and has seen the industry develop along with her own stamping know-how.  The Northwoods line of rubber stamps provide images and words that reflect Pat’s affinity for nature, family and friends.

Judy Ross ~ A mixed media artist, Judy loves life and puts that zest for life into her classes.  Judy has been a frequent guest on DIY TV and HGTV.  Perhaps you have seen her showcasing rubber stamping and scrapbooking techniques.  In fact, she was Tim Holtz's first rubber stamping teacher.  She has been published in many Design Original's publications, Expression Magazine, and Rubber Stamper Magazine.  She has a DVD and her own Design Original book on air-dried clay, and Judy travels extensively conducting paper arts workshops in the US and the UK.

Design unique artist trading cards while learning to turn papers into antique documents, change white card stock into leather, and alter air-dry clay into metal embellishments with patina.  This will be fun, fun, fun with lots of stamping and altering.

 

Rochelle Schiffbauer ~The owner of Rubber Stamp Studio and Kidstamps knows that stampers come in all ages, shapes and sizes.  She started stamping while still a kid herself with a set of Flintstone rubber stamps, and that love has lead to the designing and teaching she practices in her business.  She completes as many as eight to ten “make and takes” per class, making sure that attendees walk away knowing they got a great value.

Mara Shannon ~ Mara has been stamping for 16 years and scrapbooking for at least 10.  She has taught many classes on card making, mini-albums, and beginning to advanced scrapbooking in several local stamping and scrapbooking stores.  She has a Bachelor of Art degree in Graphic Design and likes to add an artistic flair to all of her projects.  By working in the industry she knows the latest products and always comes up with unique ways to use multiple mediums.  Her classes are jam packed with interesting techniques, helpful tips, and fun designs!  Students find inspiration and confidence in their artistic genius after a class with Mara.
